Are you curious to know what is research and why people do it? Would you like to learn more about how to do RESEARCH yourself?
Are you a voluntary sector organisation wanting to invest in and conduct more research?
Here in South West London (SWL), the ICS has set up a SWL Research Support Network to help our local communities and voluntary sector become more aware of and take part in research and evaluation. This network will help people learn from each other, develop skills and confidence to become involved and lead research themselves. It also gives you the chance to chat with researchers over a cup of tea or coffee, receive research training and find out what research and funding opportunities are available for you. The focus will be on health inequalities and actions taken to tackle problems faced by disadvantaged groups in research.
Attend the network's launch on Thursday 16th May 2024 1pm-4pm at Oru Space, High Street, Town Centre, Sutton SM1 1LF. You will have the opportunity to meet some of our researchers and find out more about the research support offers we have across the 6 boroughs of #Kingston, #Richmond, #Wandsworth, #Merton, #Sutton and #Croydon. You can learn about research cafes, how to become a community or peer researcher and what the network meetings will be like. Lunch provided!
