Community Action Sutton are starting an exciting new project at Hill House Community Centre in the heart of St Helier
They are setting up a volunteer-led community garden, having received funding from the Mayor of London, Sutton Council, Croydon Plus Credit Union and 20 other local organisations.
The aim of the project is to provide members of the local community with a way of supporting their physical and mental wellbeing, by being outside in nature, socialising and doing something creative.
Anyone is encouraged to take part and no experience, knowledge or ability is required.
Sessions take place every Friday and the first and third Saturday of every month, from 10am to 2pm.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are always provided.
Currently, the group are working on 10 raised beds and a large greenhouse.
If you are interested, there is no need to register. Just turn up to the sessions and you will be very welcome.
